SNOOOOOWWW!!!

Okay, the snow got a little more serious, so I braved the weather and went outside.
Greta cannot contain herself, and can't figure out what it is...but oh how she loves flying objects.

Go Gators!

He hit me once, and only once.

Below are the first pictures I took. Lame I realize, but the snow didn't get serious until later, and I wasnt willing to put shoes on pre-snowman snow levels.

Atlanta Home

We have been enjoying our little unemployment vacation since the move, and have managed to unpack most everything...though not everything has grown feet and walked to its proper place just yet. We love Ikea and have taken selveral trips already. Within two minutes of the house is downtown Decatur (which is an adorable little town), bank of America, Walmart, Aldi, Kroger, Zaxby's, movie theater. We like.
All the furballs have adjusted beautifully. They are most thankful for their giant lookout window in the living room where they can watch all the neighborhood action-country pets move to the big city and all. I start work this coming week, so I'm leaving Josh to finish up-wink wink. He still has a little while before classes start. Here are some before and after shots of what we've done so far.

Oddities from Atlanta

While browsing through my camera at all the pictures I took during our many trips to Atlanta, I came across a couple I thought I would share.
Picture #1: This is a gas station we stopped at across from a rather extensive Cemetery. This guy apparently didn't make the cut. I would haunt them, wouldn't you!?

Picture #2 If you ever are so lucky as to find yourself homeless and house hunting,
as we were, you may come across landlords who give you the combination to a lock box. This is a padlock type contraption they hang over the front door that has a special combo that releases the key to the house. We were shocked that so many people used these, allowing us to peruse through their houses unshaparoned. But with that libery comes surprises.
Dead bird in the shower! May he rest in peace. Poor birdie. The house was cute, incidentally, just wouldn't fit any of our furniture.
Picture #3 And this is the most super fabulous church in all of Atlanta, but Josh says he doesn't want to be Episcopal.

Not Homeless!

We finally found it. Fourth time's a charm. Upon our one month house hunting anniversary, we found victory! We found a three bedroom, one bath house near East Lake in Atlanta. About 15-20 minutes from downtown. All hardwood, gas stove, central heat/air, fenced in yard, cute neighborhood. Though we are going to have to catch up on our landscaping. The neighbors are making our house look shabby. All that's left is to pack up our entire life and roll it on over there. Packing party July 4th weekend! If you come on the 4th, you get the bonus of watching the neighbors fireworks as you get eaten by mosquitoes, while loading boxes in the truck. Woo hoo! HOUSE SLIDESHOW.

Why you should come visit the lonely Crewses in Atlanta...

We took another trip to Atlanta, and no, there were no final decisions made on a house. We can't seem to find one either of us like more than 85%. But look what does live in Atlanta! I'm so excited... Can you hardly contain yourself?! Half my current furniture is probably going to fall off the back of the truck on its way to GA. I'll just have to replace it, is all.

A guilty little pleasure of mine, and current supplier of my low carb bread, Trader Joe's is an awesome grocery store with organics and all kind of cool stuff. You just have to see it. My sister kindly introduced me to it in Nashville, but I haven't had one locally before. There are 6 Trader Joe locations currently in Atlanta.

Phipps Plaza/ Lenox Square
aka HUUUGE mall.

The infamous
Piedmont Park

The DOG PARK, Yay!!

Screen on the Green
It's Giant.
Here's some more stuff we can go do when you come visit us...Atlanta Attractions including something called Turner Field.
